ACV UK’s free commissioning promotions return for 2026.
F
ollowing the success of its free commissioning promotion, ACV UK, a specialist in hot water solutions, has announced the continuation of its free commissioning offers into 2026, alongside the introduction of a new enhanced loyalty scheme designed to reward customers. ACV’s commissioning promotion continues to offer customers valuable savings across the full ACV product range. Customers installing three or more ACV products within a single plant room can benefit from free commissioning on all qualifying products*. With a diverse selection of products available, customers can choose from combinations such as the Heat Master Evo, Evo S, and Smart L320 to qualify for free commissioning on all three or more ACV products*.
New for 2026, ACV UK is building on its existing loyalty scheme with a refreshed, tiered structure. Designed to recognise and reward different levels of customer commitment, it offers customers increased benefits and exclusive rewards.
“Following such positive feedback, we’re delighted to be extending our free commissioning promotion into 2026. Extending our promotion, alongside an enhanced loyalty programme allows us to continue to support and reward our customers”, says Charlie Newell, director and general manager of ACV UK.
ACV’s commissioning promotions are designed to help ensure every installation delivers optimum performance from day one. For added reassurance, when commissioning is carried out by ACV within three months of the installation date, customers can register their warranty online or by post at no extra cost.

ECOMOD natural refrigerant heat pump range capacity increases with new 65kw model
B
uilding on the success of its ECOMOD 290HT natural refrigerant commercial heat pumps, Ideal Commercial Heating has expanded the range to include a 65kW model to meet demand for higher output systems. This takes the ECOMOD 290HT range to four
chassis sizes and six available outputs, from 15kW to 65kW. ECOMOD 290HT monobloc air source heat pumps have an exceptionally low global warming potential (GWP) of just three, thanks to the use of R290 natural refrigerant. Furthermore, with the 2014 F-Gas Regulations and, more recently, the EU’s Regulation 2024/573 pushing for a refrigerant phase-down, the use of low-GWP refrigerants helps future proof investments made in natural refrigerant heat pumps. The new ECOMOD 290HT 65kW has a maximum flow temperature of 70°C and an excellent coefficient of performance (CoP) of up to 4.6 which means it produces up to 4.6 units of heat for every single unit of electrical energy consumed.
You can also cascade up to seven of these new 65kW models for where greater heating outputs are required. Whilst an integral control unit is included as standard, optional control units are available for cascade and where no BMS is present.
The ECOMOD 290HT 65kW can be used in a hybrid heating system. It integrates seamlessly with other Ideal Commercial Heating products - including the EVOMAX 2 and IMAX XTRA 2 condensing boilers. All ECOMOD heat pumps are backed by a five-year warranty when commissioned by Ideal Commercial Heating.

MCE 2026: a window into the evolution of European HVAC
A
mong the exhibitors at MCE 2026, Midea Building Technologies (MBT) stood out as a manufacturer promoting its own range and as a signal of where the broader industry is heading. Its V9 VRF system addresses two engineering concerns. The ShieldBox II electric control box
delivers IP68-rated environmental protection and incorporates phase- change cooling technology, maintaining core electronics at a stable 30°C even in harsh outdoor installations, directly extending component lifespan and system reliability.
On the refrigerant side, Midea’s V9 has passed TÜV’s first-ever three-tier protection safety assessment for VRF systems using A2L mildly flammable refrigerants, a certification that removes a long-standing barrier for specifiers working on major commercial projects. For many of commercial and industrial buildings, the core retrofit challenge is about fitting a low-carbon heat source into buildings designed around fossil fuel boilers, often with limited space and high-temperature heat emitters already in place. The Mars Large R290 Commercial Heat Pump delivers, leaving water temperatures of up to 85°C, enabling direct boiler replacement without overhauling existing terminal systems such as radiators.
Its side-air-discharge design occupies just 0.72 m². Running on R290 natural refrigerant (GWP of 0.02) and rated A+++, it is positioned as a long- term solution that will not require refrigerant changes as F-Gas regulations continue to tighten.
MBT’s focus at MCE 2026 mirrors the broader trajectory of the sector. Technologies such as the R290 commercial heat pumps, VRF systems, and data centre cooling – represent a definitive industry shift towards sustainable, decarbonised, and intelligent building ecosystems.

Condair wins BIM leadership award
H
umidity control specialist, Condair, has been awarded the BIM Leadership Award 2026 by BIMobject for its outstanding partnership, initiative and long- term digital vision.
Paloma Cáliz Olivares, director of content production at BIMobject, commented: “Beyond content, Condair stands out for its
proactive attitude, collaborative mindset, and commitment to continuously improving its digital presence. It is a brand we value working with – an example of how BIM can be embraced strategically to drive innovation, strengthen relationships, and advance digital transformation in the industry.”
A BIM object is a digital, data-rich 3D representation of a physical building product or material used in Building Information Modelling (BIM) software. It combines accurate 3D geometry with embedded, non-graphical information, such as technical specifications, performance data and manufacturer details. These digital files allow architects and engineers to create accurate, simulations of buildings.
Dave Marshall-George, sales director at Condair Limited, commented: “Condair has over 50 BIM models hosted on
BIMobject.com and accessible from
condair.co.uk. Our digital model portfolio covers Condair’s range of steam and adiabatic humidifiers, evaporative coolers, water treatment products and accessories.
“Condair is convinced of the strategic value of BIM, for the architecture, engineering and construction industry, and for our own business. We are very proud to receive this BIM Leadership Award. It’s testament to the dedication and high-quality standards of our mechanical design department and reflects Condair’s position as a true industry leader in the humidity control sector.” Dave concludes.
