Our integration of programmable technology and sensors into full production line enables the automation and ease of processing for its customers, as well as wider markets. This reinforces our differentiation in the market, where some manufacturers are still relying on manual processes by operators which risk monotony, high staff turnover, and health and safety incidents, and aligns them as an expert provider in the inevitable transitions in the face of Industry 4.0 and digital transformative technology. Whilst we are dedicated to their UK roots, 70% of the business is export, covering the US, Mexico, Australia, Asia and Europe, and new business enquiries from as far as UAE.


One of the many projects that has proved effective is the Shuttle conveyor, used in the US to feed up to eight conveyor lines from a saw. The UK version is smaller but was used to transport rolled foam buns into a compressor. It broke through the walls that the customers were hitting in finding an innovative solution to transport the product, reduce labour and strain, save time by speeding up the process and reducing wastage of resources, hereby making processing more efficient.


The customer reviewed that it “has reduced overheads as we have less operators on the line. We can change the speed to suit demand and it can feed multiple lines so we get through more processing of the products and components during a single shift.


“This has the potential to increase profitability and productivity and is a safer option than having to rely on workers or operators and risk strain or worse. The new automation machinery has been able to alleviate up to 12 operators from a single line.” We have been successful in the liaising, conception, design, modelling, build, testing and installation of whole new machines and production lines. Most production lines follow a similar principle but heights, speeds, widths and weights of processed product vary. We have been successful in being awarded funding from the Department for Business and Trade Internationalisation Fund, through its Northern Powerhouse division, and are advancing with a project funded through Lancashire Manufacturing Growth Fund, guided by Boost


and GC Business Growth Hub, whereby our lean manufacturing approach can be continued through the internal production of pallets and crates for use in their shipment of their bespoke machines, rather than outsourcing to the shipping provider, therefore reducing cost, adding jobs and contributing to sustainability – this includes the purchase of new machinery.

Our problem-solving approach had led to referrals and large-scale contracts. We have been successful in being awarded contracts by some of our biggest customers and prospects.
