RAQAM International expands into Pakistan with Kodal Flexcel NX System from Miraclon and support from DigiPrint Technologies
R
AQAM International Labels and Packaging, a subsidiary of RAQAM Industries, has expanded into Pakistan and invested in a Flexcel NX Mid System from Miraclon, provided by local channel partner, DigiPrint Technologies. The packaging and label converter, based in Hattar, required a plate imaging and processing system that could produce both flexo (60%) and offset (40%) plates, and the Flexcel NX System’s hybrid option proved to be the only technology that could meet all their requirements.
“With two Flexcel NX Systems already installed at our production facilities in Canada and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), we are familiar with the undeniable production, reliability, and quality benefits it delivers,” says Khalid Aziz Shah, CEO of RAQAM International Canada, KSA and Pakistan. “These systems have required minimal maintenance over the past seven years, ensuring excellent productivity and on-time delivery. It also allows us to achieve solid ink density and higher line screens. And, with the added benefit of being able to use it as a hybrid system, it really was the only option for us as we enter the label and packaging production market in Pakistan.”
Muhammad Irfan Siddique, managing director of DigiPrint Technologies, comments: “RAQAM International has firmly established
itself in the global packaging and label industries in recent years, and we are excited to support the company’s expansion into the fast-growing packaging and labels market. With short-to-medium run volumes increasing, together with continued turnaround time pressures, the Flexcel NX System allows our
customers to take advantage of the make- ready efficiencies, minimized downtime and reduced wastage it delivers while still achieving premium quality. I’m confident that RAQAM International will continue on their
path of success with this investment.”
