If you weren’t already aware, Glee is around the corner, and in this issue we’ve provided you with in-depth coverage about what you can expect there; from the incredibly interactive Retail Lab, now in its third year, which is set to showcase some really innovative ideas that visitors can take away and implement instantaneously in their own stores and businesses, all the way to the new Marketplace in the Pets at Glee section, designed to give small grassroots companies the opportunity to showcase their pet products and break through into the garden retail and pet markets. If there’s one thing I love about this industry, it’s the fact that everyone is always so willing to work together to ensure a positive future for the gardening market and all that encompasses it. My very first day for this company was at Glee 2017, so it feels wonderfully fitting to me that I end my time at GCU with this issue, which I hope will gear you up and get you as excited about the show as it has me. Thank you to every single person I’ve met along the way, and for welcoming me into this fantastic industry, despite my very little gardening knowledge to begin with. The sight of many of you dressed as giraffes and gorillas, dancing the night away, at the last GCA conference is a particular highlight. I can now proudly admit I am the owner of a thriving vegetable patch and my interest in horticulture and botany is something that will now last a lifetime thanks to you all. I hope to see this industry continue to thrive, and may all of your hard work with environmental issues be rewarded for its efforts. I salute you all for that. I wish you all the very best, and I look forward to seeing as many of you as possible at my last ever Glee.
