VC tray is a strong example of a product line with unique characteristics, and one which should be used in very
specifi c environments. Developed for outdoor environments, it is one of the most durable and robust cable management systems available on the market today. PVC tray has been developed specifi cally to meet the needs of aggressive or coastal environments, and provides a lasting and durable cable containment solution. With its unique properties, PVC cable tray is able to replicate materials with a high resistance against corrosion, salinity or humidity including fi breglass, stainless steel 304, stainless steel 316 or aluminium.
PVC tray has grown to become a core line for us, and due to its popularity, we are now the leading supplier of this specialist product in the UK. It’s been designed for use in specifi c applications and in certain sectors only where its ability to withstand corrosive environments is key.
It also has enhanced safety capabilities,
predominantly around insulation of materials where earthing is not required. If using a metal tray, for example, in an installation with a bad grounding or in the middle of two crossbeams, the area may become potentially dangerous to human exposure. The PVC make-up of the tray removes any potential risk and the tray
remains secure even to touch.
It is also lightweight and therefore easy to handle and transport as well as being simple to cut to length, therefore saving time and cost on installation. It requires zero maintenance and is also incredibly durable.
PVC tray fi ts perfectly into a number of key areas within the construction and civil engineering sectors. These include water treatment plants which contain high levels of humidity where use of a material such as PVC avoids any corrosion and guarantees a long-life installation.
Specifi ers of pools, built into the ground or above ground level, continue to utilise the unique properties of PVC tray. During maintenance of indoor and outdoor pools, the use of chemical products such as chlorine is typical, PVC trays are the perfect products for these environments and again remain unaff ected by pollutants or chemicals. PVC tray is well utilised in the mining industry since they present a null aff ection to the oxidation that occurs in the environment as well as the chemical industry which converts raw materials (oil, natural gas, air, water, metals, and minerals) into more than 70,000 diff erent products through chemical processes. The petrochemical industry has embraced the use of PVC tray as has the pharmaceutical industry which is governed by a number of laws and regulations surrounding patenting, testing, safety, effi cacy, marketing and production of the drugs. In the production process of synthesized drugs with acids, only non-metal trays such as PVC cable trays can be installed thanks to their resistance against acids.
