CMP Products launches online cleat selector tool
S
pecifying cable cleats in today’s projects is becoming increasingly complex. Engineers and contractors must balance compliance, safety, short circuit withstand requirements and installation constraints - oſt en while working to tight deadlines. Yet selection processes can be time-consuming, overly manual and prone to error, particularly when short circuit calculations need to be verifi ed separately.
To help address these challenges, CMP Products has launched a new online cleat selector tool designed to streamline specifi cation and improve accuracy. The platform enables users to generate fast, reliable results while supporting compliance requirements from the outset. Users can enter key installation parameters - including cable diameter, cleat formation and the required short-circuit peak rating - to receive an instant cleat recommendation. The tool swiftly generates data-backed short-circuit calculations, enabling engineers to determine appropriate cleat types and spacing based on fault conditions. Each result is supported by a clear specifi cation document containing the relevant technical and safety information.
Developed with input from CMP’s experienced engineering team, the tool is monitored to ensure ongoing accuracy and reliability, off ering businesses a practical resource that keeps projects running smoothly.
