Tracey White to stand down as CEO of the ILP T
he Chief Executive Officer of the Institution of Lighting Professionals (ILP), Tracey White is to stand down from her position later this year. Aſter three years in post, Tracey White is relocating abroad
and will work on new projects from a distance. Anthony Smith, ILP President, said: “Over the last three years Tracey has delivered in all areas, working tirelessly
to improve the standing of the Institution within the industry and government, alongside the day-to-day duties of the CEO role.” Tracey White replied: “It has been a privilege and honour to serve as CEO of the ILP. The last three years have been extremely successful for the ILP. We have continued to maintain and develop our services to members and represent their interests in spite of the difficulties posed by the pandemic. I have no doubt that the ILP is well- equipped to meet the future challenges of the lighting industry and I would like to wish the Board, the members and my future successor all the best.” The ILP Board has agreed a process for recruiting Tracey White’s successor. Chris Mottram joins Niglon as product manager C
hris Mottram, an electrical product expert with decades of experience, has joined the Niglon team as the company’s new product manager. He will have oversight of new products introduced, as well as

existing ranges. Chris started his career with Tenby Electrical – which was later acquired by Legrand – mixing hands-on experience in the design office with qualifications attained at college. Before joining Niglon, Chris had spent 10 years as a product development manager of wiring devices for Scolmore International and was responsible for the design and development of new and existing products. He said: “I’m really pleased to be joining Niglon, and to have the opportunity not only to work on their existing products but also to oversee the development of new products and ranges. I’ll also have input to Niglon’s marketing materials from a technical perspective, and responsibility for ensuring we are always compliant when it comes to changing certification and regulations.”
Successful apprenticeships at Clynder Cables A
dministration Assistant Lois Murray-Wood is now the third apprentice to successfully complete the NVQ Level 2 at Clynder Cables.
Lois has been an apprentice through The Growth Company, a Manchester-based non-for-profit skills and training organisation. Barbara Walton, general manager at Clynder, has worked directly with all three apprentices, passing her considerable knowledge and experience on to the next generation. She said: “When I commenced my working life as an Office Junior, I was lucky enough to meet Jean, the MD’s Secretary, who was my mentor and instilled in me good working practices and values. When I joined Clynder I was fortunate to have been given the opportunity to pay this forward with our three apprenticeships.” All three of Clynder Cables’ apprentices have gone on to further their careers. Lois has now taken on a full-time role with the company. She said: “From completing my apprenticeship and working at Clynder Cables, I have gained knowledge, experience, and confidence.” Oliver Hingston, managing director, commented: “Apprenticeship schemes have come on leaps and bounds and are
