A note from
the Editor T
he electronics industry is a fast paced and highly technical sector, with new products being launched and
disruptive technologies constantly creating fresh avenues for growth. It’s an exciting
ast year’s inaugural awards were a fantastic showcase of the people and products which make our
space and new to this industry, I have found myself entirely welcomed by you all. Careers are honed, business flourishes and relationships are bonded strong here, and the industry benefits from your continued expertise. It has been a delight and a pleasure to work with you all so far. And what work you have completed!
The Electronics Industry Awards are a well- deserved opportunity to celebrate your hard work and total dedication to the electronics market and note the people and products in particular which have stood out with their successes. The event was launched in

industry so special. And the voting was put to you, the industry, via an online vote as we wanted the awards to truly reflect the sector, and for a win to be a real authentic plus for the winner. We asked your opinion, and we
took on your feedback, especially when it came to judging the awards. Of course, we wanted to keep the majority of the power in your hands, and the public vote was vital to maintaining the connection and credibility. But we also wanted to offer a greater in-depth level of judging, which is why some of you offered your services to be on the very first industry expert judging panel, to judge the Product and Individual Awards. I must thank our esteemed judges: Adam Fletcher, Aubrey Dunford and Steve Brambley. Here the latter gives us a 30 second interview on his experience as our judge.
Why do you think awards are important and a real win for companies? I was honoured to be asked to be a judge for these awards, it’s great to be able to take a step back and appreciate
order to offer a platform to showcase the talents and technical prowess of you all. Since last year, the awards have skyrocketed with interest and we have had a huge increase in the number of nominations and entries this time round, as well as a record number of votes.
Superb sponsors It’s an honour to be able to offer a transparent awards scheme that is designed for you, and decided by you, and of course we could not have done any of this without the continued support of our
incredible sponsors. I’d like to thank all of our sponsors but especially thank BWW Communications, Eskan Electronics, Ineltek, NCAB Group and Neesham PR. Fingers crossed and the very best of
good luck to all nominees and a pre- emptive congratulations to the winners of the awards. Win or lose, I hope the day is filled with delicious dining and contemplative conversations, and is thoroughly enjoyed by all in attendance. See you there!

all the innovation and diverse applications in our industry. It’s a real pleasure to be able to celebrate successes and the people who contribute to that, so the awards are way to show the world how good we are!
