OKW’s Elegant New EVOTEC 150 Sloping Top Enclosures

OKW has extended its EVOTEC range of designer table-top plastic enclosures with a new sloping top version of its 150 size. Soft-contoured EVOTEC electronic enclosures are elegant and ergonomic – but robust enough to withstand challenging working environments. Applications include measurement and control, IT, IoT/IIoT, gateways, medical, laboratory and environmental technology. New EVOTEC 150 Version III features a recessed top that is inclined by 12° for more comfortable viewing and operation. Its large operating area can accommodate switches, pushbuttons and touch displays. This two-part enclosure is assembled with tamperproof Torx stainless steel screws, a key requirement for medical devices. PCBs can be fi tted to screw pillars in the top and bottom. Rubber feet ensure stable positioning on fl at surfaces. OKW now off ers sloping top versions of EVOTEC in three sizes: 150 (150 x 93 x 36 mm),

200 (200 x 124 x 45 mm) and 250 (250 x 155 x 54 mm). The latter two sizes can be specifi ed with a recessed (Version II) or smooth (Version III) top. Visit the OKW website for further information: https://www.okw.co.uk/en/Plastic-enclosures/Evotec.htm

EMC fi lters made of High Frequency Composite

Materials SMP has developed “All Mode” EMC fi lters with high frequency stability. EMC fi lters reduce interference currents and voltage spikes in power converters and other systems. The material of the fi lters plays a decisive part: the High Frequency Composite Materials (HFCM) developed and manufactured by SMP are eff ective for frequencies up to the gigaHertz range and satisfy all of the requirements to which modern SiC and GaN applications are subject. The All Mode design damps both diff erential mode and common mode noise. By combining HFCM and All Mode technology it is possible to reduce the number of fi lter components needed in the system by about 50 percent. Among other advantages, this also means that common mode chokes or fi lters can be dispensed with. Compared to standard technologies which use materials such as ferrite, electrical steel sheets and nanocrystalline ribbon, EMC fi lters from SMP are noiseless, up to 40 percent lighter, and reduce interference levels by as much as 40 dB[µV]. ROLEC’s new colour-coded starCASE enclosures Colour-coded trims are now available as an option on ROLEC’s starCASE premium

plastic enclosures for industrial electronics.

Elegant but tough IP 66 rated starCASE can be installed anywhere – on walls, machines and bulkheads. Applications include monitoring systems, HVAC controllers, safety equipment, factory automation, security systems and test and measurement.

The trims, which cover the lid and mounting screws, are now optionally available in red, blue or anthracite, in addition to the standard light grey (RAL 7035). They are fi tted with non-detachable hinges to stop them from being dropped or lost. Separate screw channels mean starCASE can be mounted ‘lid closed’ to protect the seal and electronics. The lid is recessed to accommodate a membrane keypad, product label or front plate. Integrated fl exible support straps ensure the lid remains attached to the base when the unit is open. Inside, there are screw bosses for the installation of PCBs, mounting plates and terminal rails.

Keeping Your Business Moving During Component Shortages

Microprocessors, Microcontroller and Digital Signal Processors The current state of the semiconductor industry has presented some challenges to the supply chain and to manufacturing, resulting in lead-time extension for many key products. Microprocessors, Microcontroller, and Digital Signal Processors are predominantly

aff ected. These products typically off er a unique mix of core architecture, features, peripherals, and packages resulting in a sole source device. This scenario increases the challenge to supply chain management, as lead-times become extended. Included in the long lead-time processor off ering are architectures such as ARM,

PowerPC, HC08/S08, 80C51, with key brands such as i.MX, Kinetis, PowerQUICC, MSP430, PSOC, TC-Tricore, and others. Rochester Electronics, with its extensive inventory, is positioned to help alleviate supply chain disruption. With our 100% authorised and guaranteed inventory, customers can be assured of a risk-free solution. Search Processors and Peripheral inventory! https://www.rocelec.com/
