an important must-see Show for independent footwear retailers and boutiques alike. It also benefits from a convenient location, London’s Copthorne Tara Hotel, a short walk from High Street Kensington Underground Station. Held after Moda, in the comfortable surroundings of a luxury hotel, the London Shoe Show allows buyers an opportunity to make their final orders in a relaxed environment, with free refreshments throughout the day, and onsite car parking. The proximity of exhibitors makes product comparison simpler, an important consideration for the footwear retailers I met up with at the show.
Best Attended Shoe Show This Season

of footwear on offer, as were the footwear buyers that I spoke to, many of whom had placed orders at the show. On the day that I visited, the isles were busy and the agents on the stands were attending to customers. Indeed, The London Shoe Show was, by far, the best attended Shoe Show that I visited this season! “Many well-known brands were exhibiting at The London Shoe Show in February, including Alpe, Alisa Bianchini, Andara, ara, arche, Art, Bibilou, Caprice, Camela, El Naturalista, Eva Luna Gianne de Simone, Hassia, Hunted, HB, Hispanitas, hogl, Jose Sanenz, Legero, Manilla, Mou, Paul Green, Pedro Miralles, Paulo Ferri, Peter Kaiser, Rhode, Roka, Ska, Superfit, Think, Toni Pons, Unisa, Wonders and Xti.” Cheryl Taylor, Senior Editor, Footwear Today Magazine. Commenting on the show this season, organiser, footwear agent Justin Morgan, said: “The February London Shoe Show proved to be the success that it promised with more than
40 brands all agreeing that it is now one of, if not, THE highlight of their selling programme in the UK.
More than 120 businesses attended travelling from Scotland, Wales and all areas of England to buy the product that differentiates them on the high street.
From early Sunday morning the show had a constant stream of visitors, enjoying the relaxed atmosphere and placing their orders. The current delays in supply chains means that February is now late for placing autumn goods and retailers understood that with their (mostly) not attending MICAM meant that LSS was one of their last opportunities to buy. Some new visitors commented on how impressed they were the low key, relaxed yet professional environment which offered far greater choice than many of its “larger” alternative shows in the UK. LSS represents the mid to better end of the market, offering far greater margin opportunities to retailers alongside real shoe making, craftsmanship and quality.
The next show is on September 11/ 12 which coincides with the Top Drawer fashion event just down the road at Olympia. Extended facilities at the hotel means that the show will be larger than ever in September with all current exhibitors returning and some of those already on the waiting list having the opportunity to attend.”

on Sunday 11th & Monday 12th September 2022, open between 9.30am – 6.00pm.
