At Vision Stuttgart, JAI presents 36 new area scan cameras in the Go-X series
T
his year at the Vision Stuttgart Show, JAI will be introducing 36 new machine vision area scan
cameras in the Go-X Series featuring the latest Pregius S CMOS sensors. While the Go-X Series previously offered resolutions ranging from 2.3 megapixels to 12.3 megapixels, the additional models now extend that range up to 24.5 megapixels. The additional models are divided into three interface groups, with 12 models having CoaXPress 2.0 interfaces, 12 models having GigE Vision (1000BASE-T) interfaces and 12 models featuring GigE Vision interfaces operating at 5GBASE-T speeds. The Pregius S sensors feature backside illumination
to support smaller pixel sizes without sacrificing sensitivity. JAI has leveraged this technology to provide customers with significantly higher resolution options while still maintaining the compact size of the
Go-X Series cameras. Thanks to the 2.74 µm pixel size, even the new 24.5-megapixel Go-X Series cameras have the same 29 mm x 29 mm size as the other models and a 1.2” optical format compatible with C-mount lenses.
ROLEC’s New IP 67 Diecast Enclosures For Modern Industrial Electronics
R
OLEC’s tough but elegant aluDOOR is a
go-anywhere aluminium enclosure which can be mounted on walls, bulkheads, machines and workstations. It is rated IP 66, IP 67 and – on request – IP 69K. The hinged lid opens 100° for easier access
and can be specified with or without a recess for a membrane keypad or product label. All fixings are A2 stainless steel for added protection against corrosion. The lid and mounting screws are concealed beneath smart extruded aluminium trims. Separate mounting screw channels ensure
that aluDOOR can be installed ‘lid closed’. This safeguards the seal, a continuous foamed-in polyurethane gasket that provides superior ingress protection because it has no join. Internal threaded pillars enable the easy installation of PCBs, mounting plates and DIN rails. Advanced aluDOOR is available in 10 sizes from 120 x
90 x 70 mm to 280 x 170 x 90 mm. The standard colour is anthracite grey (RAL 7016) with matt silver lid trims. Customised versions are available on request. For more information, view the ROLEC website:

Camera lengths vary from 51.5 mm to 55 mm depending on the interface. Monochrome and color models are offered at each
resolution. Color models provide raw Bayer output and include an in-camera debayering function for RGB output. Formats include 8/10/12-bit monochrome, 8/10/12-bit Bayer, or 24/30/36-bit RGB output. All of the new models also include a flexible, sub-
pixel scaling function called “Xscale.” Xscale provides an alternative to traditional binning which is limited to “whole” pixels, such as 2x1, 2x2, 4x4, etc. Instead, Xscale, supports the use of floating-point numbers to create virtual pixels that include “fractions” of various pixels to help match pixel sizes, optical formats, and resolutions when replacing older cameras. JAI is located in hall 10 - booth #10F57.

C
D, 3D and AI:
IDS presents numerous new products and camera developments at VISION Today, cameras are often more than just suppliers of images – they can recognize objects, generate results or trigger follow-up processes. Visitors to VISION Stuttgart, Germany, can find out about the possibilities offered by state-of-the-art camera technology at IDS booth 8C60. There, they will discover the next level of the all-in-one AI system IDS NXT. The company is not only expanding the machine learning methods to include anomaly detection, but is also developing a significantly faster hardware platform. IDS is also unveiling the next stage of development for its new uEye Warp10 cameras. By combining a fast 10GigE interface and TFL mount, large-format sensors with up to 45 MP can be integrated, opening up completely new applications. The trade fair innovations also include prototypes of the smallest IDS board-level camera and a new 3D camera model in the Ensenso product line.
