VISION 2024

VISION: the hot spot for trends and innovations

E

xperts will soon meet at VISION 2024 in Stuttgart, Germany, during 8-10 October, to present and discuss key trends, topics and innovations in the machine vision industry. Technologies like artificial intelligence (AI), hyperspectral imaging, embedded vision and 3D will be covered extensively at this event.

Key topics at VISION 2024 Hyperspectral imaging in conjunction with AI opens up many different application areas, including in medical technology, the food industry and even recycling. “Worldwide, less than 5% of plastics

are recycled. Using hyperspectral imaging, however, we can now already separate all types of plastic polymers. This means that we have ways to recycle plastics,” said Lars Rosenkvist Fenger, CEO of Qtechnology. “Qtechnology has chosen a targeted approach for AI and hyperspectral cameras. We will present our new hyperspectral cameras

VISION is the leading event for the machine vision industry and is becoming increasingly important in the area of embedded vision,” said Jan-Erik Schmitt, VP of Sales at Vision Components, the company that specialises in embedded vision. At the VISION event, Schmitt will discuss MIPI connections to processors, extended accessories, innovative functionalities and various FPGA accelerators.

3D sensors 3D sensors are being used for applications in the areas of electronics and e-mobility, for example the inspection of surfaces.

at VISION, which are some of the best in their class.”

Embedded vision technologies, on the other hand, enable highly compact and efficient machine vision systems, further aided by AI.

“The highest concentration of experts in machine vision can be found at VISION. Users can find all technologies for their applications in one place,” said Daniel Seiler, CEO of Automation Technology (AT). “During VISION, we will present the new 3D sensor series XCS, developed in conjunction with electronics OEMs. The XCS uses high-quality laser line projection and precise optics to detect the smallest surface details. Since speed and software solutions also play an important role in the area of 3D, we will specifically address these topics.”

Shaping the future The key trends and topics will also be covered at VISION through the Industrial VISION Days, the Scientific VISION Days and the VISION Award. During the world’s largest talk forum for machine vision, visitors will be able to experience technologies and practical applications which will shape the future of machine vision.
