Wieland Electric
receives cULus approval for MOLA® device connection
T
ext Given that no equivalent technology is available on the market, the device connection undoubtedly sets the standard for pluggability in the future.
This new product’s unique qualities are all centred on its flexible and simple assembly. This is made possible by push-in spring-equipped double conductor connections, the capacity to prefabricate the components separately, and above all the wiring’s suitability for automated systems. This implies that installations having a high protection level are much simpler and can be customised for each application.
Although MOLA® has been specifically designed with luminaire manufacturers in mind, it can also be installed in other application areas. Applications like heaters, motors, and controllers in general can also profit from this connector’s flexibility. A variety of projects and applications can be covered by MOLA® because it comes in 2-, 3-, 4-, and 5-pole versions and is designed for through-holes with a diameter of 20 mm, which makes conversion to MOLA® easier.
The modular design means that the internal cable harness and housing can be manufactured separately. An optional contact seal can enhance moisture protection, allowing MOLA® to be used in harsh environments without any problems even under the most adverse conditions.

ROLEC’s Premium Diecast Enclosures For Industrial Electronics
T
ext ROLEC now offers two premium ranges of diecast aluminium housings – aluDOOR and aluCASE. Both are ‘go anywhere’ enclosures that can be mounted on walls, bulkheads, and machines to protect electronics in challenging indoor and outdoor industrial environments. Advanced aluDOOR (IP 66, IP 67, IP 68, IP 69K) hinged lid enclosures were honoured in the German Innovation Awards, building on the success of aluCASE (IP 66, IP 67, IP 69K). Both models have a recessed lids to protect keypads and controls. The enclosures can be installed ‘lid closed’, protecting the electronics. Options for aluCASE include integrated hinges and lid retaining straps. Inside, there are pillars for PCBs, mounting plates and DIN rails. Snap-in trims hide all the fixings screws. A wide range of accessories is offered including mounting plates, different coloured trims and terminal rails.

ABB expands GoFaTM
· New GoFa™ variants set new banchmark with higher payloads, best-in-class reach, and market-leading repeatability
· Cat 3/PLd safety certified for close collaboration with workers
· Lowers barriers to entry further for first-time users, SMEs and educators with easy programming and rapid deployment
A
BB is launching two new variants of its GoFaTM collaborative robot. The GoFa 10 and GoFa 12 offer new possibilities for companies to leverage cobot automation for enhanced efficiency. Handling payloads of up to 10 and 12 kilograms with market-leading repeatability, the cobots can handle an expanded range of tasks in close collaboration with workers, addressing skills and labor shortages while improving safety and productivity. Offering straightforward programming and rapid integration into production environments, the new variants lower barriers to entry for first-time users, educators and SMEs. “Since we launched our YuMi cobot in 2015, we have built an industry-leading cobot portfolio meeting growing demand for safe and easy-to-use automation solutions to plug gaps in skilled labor,” said Marc Segura President, ABB Robotics. “Addressing the need for collaborative robots with higher payloads and longer reach, our GoFa 10 and 12 cobots extend the benefits of automation to new industrial applications, even for first time users.” In addition to their enhanced payloads, the GoFa 10 and 12 cobots offer class-beating tool center point (TCP) speeds of up to two meters per second with 0.02-mm of deviation for greater repeatability – a two-fold improvement over comparable solutions. IP67-certified against moisture and dust ingress, they extend the benefits of fast and accurate collaborative robotics to new industrial applications, automating demanding tasks such as machine tending, welding, parts handling, polishing, and assembly. The GoFa 10’s 1.62-meter reach – 14 percent more than others in its class and enough to cover US pallets – makes it ideal for palletizing applications. Lowering barriers to automation for first-time users and SMEs The GoFa 10 and 12 cobots are straightforward to program, deploy, and use, lowering barriers to automation for first-time users and SMEs. Setup is made easy with lead-through programming and ABB’s Wizard easy programming software, allowing even non-specialists to quickly automate their applications by manipulating simple graphical command blocks rather than writing complex programming code. Pre-installed on the cobots’ ABB’s FlexPendant robot controller, the ABB SafeMove app features safe speed
limits, standstill monitoring, and orientation supervision, enabling close collaboration between robots and factory workers without requiring bulky protective barriers or fencing.

New Incremental Encoder Supports Larger Shaft Sizes,
Addresses Lead Time Constraints
C
UI Devices’ Motion and Control Group today announced the introduction of a new series to its AMT incremental encoder family. Based on the existing AMT13 series package, the new AMT13A series is not subject to silicon related lead time constraints and can serve as a drop-in replacement for AMT13 encoder models. AMT13A encoders offer 16 quadrature resolutions from 96 to 4096 PPR, selectable via an on-board DIP switch, while supporting larger motor shaft sizes from 9 mm to 15.875 mm (5/8 inch). Thanks to CUI Devices’ proprietary capacitive ASIC technology, the AMT13A series delivers high levels of durability, accuracy, and immunity to environmental factors. It features compact radial and axial package types with a locking hub for ease of installation and low power consumption of 8 mA at 5 V. The AMT13A series also carries an operating temperature range from -40 to 125°C and offers differential line driver versions.
