PB Système is a leading French manufacturer of effi ciency-enhancing technologies for Aerospace MRO and other industries, and nowadays is also focusing on Industry 4.0 solutions. As one of the very fi rst companies in France to adopt a fully-automated production line for making technology solutions in the aerospace sector, the company has made strides in its use of robotics, too. Using its Industry 4.0 production line, JBP Système has diversifi ed its technology proposition to support companies throughout the wider manufacturing industry, and has created a technology solution – called KeyProd – geared to monitoring and improving a machine’s production performance, to maximise output.

Key to automated production monitoring Created in 2019, KeyProd is an innovative, Cloud-based device and software solution, designed to connect, track and measure the eff ectiveness of all equipment used in the manufacturing process, including existing software, machinery and associated applications. This enables users to reduce downtime by improving machine monitoring. This is largely done through the monitoring of vibrations in the machinery, using the KeyProd device that can be attached to the machinery magnetically.

the need for hybrid and remote working models is now more commonplace and explains why adopting Industry 4.0 is pivotal for manufacturers. Not only does the advanced production line at JPB make the lives of workers easier, but it has also resulted in the creation of more jobs – dispelling the notion that the addition of robots on the production line always results in headcount reduction.
Bigger operations
This commitment to diversifying its portfolio away from heritage products and delivering technology that enables companies to embrace intelligent manufacturing and the Industry 4.0 revolution has meant that JPB Système had to expand its operations. The company is currently constructing a dedicated new state- of-the-art facility, also funded by the French government through the France Relance scheme.
The new 40,000m2 site south of Paris will
enable the company to further integrate new manufacturing technologies, which beyond robots will also include AI and 3D printing, to ensure advanced Industry-4.0-powered production aimed at further driving innovation and diversifi cation into new markets.
