MAINTENANCE & CALIBRATION
ACQUISITION ACCELERATES AI-powered predictive maintenance
Ankush Malhotra says Fluke Reliability’s connected reliability strategy now brings together condition monitoring and alignment hardware, asset management software, and remote condition monitoring services
The acquisition of Azima DLi amplifies fluke Reliability’s connected reliability strategy to address customers' maintenance needs. Ankush Malhotra, president, fluke Reliability, tells us more...
f
luke Reliability has acquired Azima DLi, a market leader in subscription-based remote condition monitoring and Ai-
powered vibration analytics software. Azima DLi's solution enables businesses to
increase asset uptime, reduce reactive maintenance, and optimise manufacturing operations while maximising revenue through accurate, predictive insights. fluke Reliability President, Ankush Malhotra,
said: “The acquisition of AZiMA DLi gives us the ability to offer remote condition monitoring services. A lot of our customers may not have the expertise in-house or may be looking to run analysis on critical machines and this acquisition allows us to do this.” he continued: “Azima DLi artificial
intelligence analytics is the most advanced diagnostic engine on the market, with a library of datapoints from over 80,000 unique machines. The algorithms can accurately predict when something could go wrong.” The Watchman 360 vibration analytics
platform detects specific faults, predicts time- to-failure, and recommends corrective action. The solution has been developed over 30+ years and analyses up to 93% of machine tests without human intervention. This means the algorithm filters out issues that do not need expert analysis, helping industrial teams prioritise during the current skills shortage. As mentioned, the acquisition also includes
remote condition monitoring services, where a team of Azima DLi experts perform complex vibration analysis. This provides customers with

reports on maintenance actions; enhancing operations, reducing downtime/cost, and assisting teams that are expertise-constrained or operating with reduced headcount. Malhotra said: “Remote teams of experts and
analysts in places like india and the US offer the ability to look at the data remotely and analyse it, use the algorithms efficiently and then provide insight to customers, so they can pinpoint accurately the actions they need to take. The solution covers a broad set of industrial assets, so we can offer the solution to many different industry verticals. “in industries like oil and gas and chemicals,
where the cost of downtime is so high, most critical machines already have sensors fitted, so a good system is already in place. The Azima DLi solution expands the number of assets that can be put under a predictive maintenance programme. “for those relatively new to predictive
maintenance, perhaps smaller companies who are experiencing a skills shortage, fluke Reliability technology and expertise offers an opportunity to move from reactive to proactive monitoring, to address a problem before it happens.” Malhotra says there are two customer sets:
experts and non-experts. The connected reliability framework combines hardware and software systems (including eMaint, PRüfTeChnik and now Azima DLi) into one cloud-based ecosystem. This allows experts to expand the assets that they want to monitor and assess via a reliability programme, and
offers non-experts access to the technology and expertise needed to implement effective maintenance strategies. Maintenance management is automatically
integrated with data acquisition and analysis, offering real-time visibility and empowering maintenance managers to make data-driven decisions that avoid downtime. The following outlines a Connected Reliability Workflow: ・Work order: Monitor vibrations on running
machines in three different ways (using eMaint and PRüfTeChnik) ・Data analysis and fault detection (using
Azima DLi software) ・Assign workorders and optimise planning,
scheduling and labour costs (eMaint) ・Perform preventive or corrective
maintenance ・Re-align and re-balance the machine
with precision devices from PRüfTeChnik ・Attach or link device results to close the
work order The ability to have eMaint, PRüfTeChnik and
Azima DLi under one ‘fluke Reliability’ umbrella allows the whole process to run efficiently. The acquisition harnesses the
transformational potential of Ai and innovative software as a service (SaaS) technology. Malhotra concluded: “This business will
empower our customers with cutting-edge vibration diagnostic capabilities that revolutionise operations, optimise productivity, and enable data-driven decision-making.”
