Appetite for plant-based milks prompts HRS to launch Direct Steam Injection

Precise data monitoring with the RTR-500 series

T

&D Corporation presents a wireless data logging system adaptable to individual needs. Networked data logger

systems simplify procedures and allow error-free access to measured data at any time, and from any location. T&D’s RTR-500 series is ideally suited to large areas, storage facil- ities for chilled and frozen food, and temperature manage- ment during the transportation of pharmaceuticals, food and precision equipment. They monitor temperature, humid- ity, mA, voltage, pulse, UV, illuminance and CO2 via WLAN, LAN, GSM or USB. Furthermore, the free Cloud T&D WebStorage Service per-

fectly complements the RTR-500 series. It enables unlimited access to live data readings, recorded data, battery levels and radio signal strength, watchdog log, in easy-to-read graphs or tables. Several additional free apps and software applications also contribute to easy, all-round supervision and monitoring.

irectly injecting steam as a means of sterilising and diluting liquid drink products is a well-established technique for beverages such as plant-

based milk products, which are experiencing a boost in popularity. According to a report by Mintel1, sales of vegan-friendly, plant-based milks have surged 10% over the past two years, and it is now the choice for almost 25% of Britons. In response tothisincreased customer demand, HRS Heat Exchangers hasadded a new Direct Steam Injection System to its established range of pasteurisation and sterilisation systems. The benefit of sterilising using direct steam injection is the speed of the process, with sterilisation temperatures of 100 to 145 deg. C. being reached in around a second;much quicker than the fastest heat exchanger systems. For products such as plant milks, this rapidheating prevents cooking of the product and formation of caramel-type compounds which can darken the product or produce unwanted flavours. Some products, such as oat milk, also benefit from the additional dilution with water which the steam injectionprovides.

ndress+Hauser launches robust ultrasonic gas flowmeter with integrated pressure and temperature sensors for highly accurate, real-time measured values.

The new Prosonic Flow G 300/500 from Endress+Hauser is the ideal flowmeter for demanding applications in gas

measurement, including wet gas. With optional integrated pressure and temperature sensors for optimum process control, the ultrasonic device offers reliable measurement of natural gas, process gas and gas mixtures as well as unique gas analysis functions. Developed to measure both wet and dry gases even in fluctuating process and ambient conditions, the Prosonic

Flow G ensures precise measured values (up to ±0.5% o.r.) with unmatched repeatability. Its robust design and cor- rosion resistance make it ideally suited for applications in the chemical and oil & gas industries, including gas pro- cessing, process gas measurement, separator gas outlets, boiler inlets and CHP biogas. The ultrasonic measurement is unaffected even when measuring moist or wet gases due to the innovative sensor, which drains away any conden- sate that forms. The Prosonic Flow G can also be ordered with built-in temperature and pressure sensors. This means it can simul-

taneously detect multiple measured values that are important for process control. The optional advanced gas analy- sis function enables the calculation of process variables such as corrected volume flow, mass flow, energy flow and methane content.

revolutionary hand sanitizer dispenser with an integrated Wi-Fi hotspot that allows operators to remotely access live usage and product level data for multiple systems via their online dashboard. By monitoring product level from any location, operators

can prevent empty dispensers and arrange for units to be refilled only when necessary, supported with low-level warnings sent to their smartphone. Managers can also use their dashboard to upload

bespoke media to the 17”/21”-screen DispenserONE® models, allowing video and audio content including advertising and promotions to remain fresh and relevant.
