designs. The new quick starter set simplifies the evaluation of the first server-on-modules designed in accordance to PICMG’s COM Express Type 7 standard, poised to be globally deployed in cloud, edge, and fog server applications. Engineers further benefit from reduced validation efforts of their own carrier board layouts, as they can re-use the proposed best practice components and PCB design schematics for their own dedicated next-gen modular micro servers. congatec provides the schematics of the new carrier board (conga-X7/EVAL) to all registered quick starter set customers for free. The congatec quick starter set is perfectly suited for the design of Industry 4.0 micro servers communicating in real-time, redundant fog servers, and transcoding cloudlets at the edge of carrier-grade infrastructures typically operating on a massive scale.

OKW’s First Fully Wearable Enclosures S
mart new BODY-CASE is OKW’s first enclosure designed specifically for fitting a standard 18 mm wrist strap - so it can be worn just like a watch!
Each enclosure is supplied with two 18 mm spring bars for fitting the wrist strap. And with the optional fastening kit, BODY-CASE can also be hung around the neck on a lanyard, clipped to a belt/pocket or carried loose. These modern, ergonomic enclosures enable wearers to use wireless electronics inconspicuously and without restriction of movement. The cases can accommodate touchscreens, push buttons or voice-activated electronics. BODY-CASE is available in one size (55 x 46 x 17 mm). It can be specified either with or without a recessed top for a membrane keypad or product label. Each case comprises three parts: a top section with PCB location bars; a bottom
section with four pre-moulded drilling centres for use when fitting contact pins (drilling required); a soft-touch matt sealing ring. Protection levels are high: IP 65, IP 67. The highly polished top and bottom are moulded from Traffic White (RAL 9016) ASA for high levels of UV resistance while the sealing ring is Lava or Vermilion (RAL 2002) TPE for enhanced ingress protection, aesthetics and ergonomics. the bright round OLED display, the selection can be activated. Tap the home LED to return to the home screen. Hard image change, gentle fade-in and fade-out - it has complete creative flexibility with all functions being fully configurable. The same flexibility is enjoyed with regard to the layout

Highly efficient and hygienic
ORD DRIVESYSTEMS has expanded its range of high- efficiency smooth-surface motors. The new permanent-
magnet synchronous motors without cooling fins achieve level IE4 / super premium efficiency. This can greatly benefit the food, beverage, and pharmaceutical industries, and other hygienically demanding applications. The efficient smooth-surface motors are suitable for use in dry areas as well as in applications requiring frequent cleaning. As they generate very little excess heat, they need no fans and therefore do not contribute to the spreading of germs. The IE4 or Super Premium Efficiency synchronous motors operate significantly more efficiently than induction motors, specifically in the partial load range. This results in substantially lower cost for energy consumption and lower TCO. The motors furthermore feature a particularly high power density and a very long product life. Frequency inverters can be mounted directly onto the motor or near the motor for perfect flexibility.
