DEVI Showcases Latest Electric Heating Technologies with Launch of London Innovation Centre

D

EVI, Europe’s leading manufacturer of electric underfloor heating solutions, has launched its new Innovation Centre at the

Building Centre in London. The new space has been designed to showcase DEVI’s most current products and applications in a realistic, hands-on environment, covering everything from electric underfloor heating to electric trace heating and intelligent control systems. Divided into a number of clearly defined areas,

the Innovation Centre demonstrates how DEVI technologies are used in real-world applications. One area highlights the company’s electric trace heating solutions, featuring an insulated pipe installation with a self-regulating heating cable alongside the DeviReg™ Multi controller, which offers Modbus connectivity for integration into building management systems. Elsewhere, the space showcases a range of underfloor heating solutions, including installations using a decoupling membrane with DEVIcomfort™ heating cable, as well as the new DeviCell™ Low Carbon flooring solution, which incorporates 75% recycled aluminium and is paired with the DEVIflex™ electric heating cable. Visitors can also explore DEVI’s full heating cable range through hands-on product samples, allowing

them to see and feel the materials used. A dedicated thermostat area presents the company’s latest control technologies, including DeviReg™ Room, DeviReg™ Touch Smart Wi-Fi, and Devi Display™ Connect, which utilises Zigbee 3.0 connectivity to enable integration with smart home applications. In addition, the Innovation Centre features a series of built-up floor modules demonstrating electric underfloor heating beneath wood, laminate, tile, and carpet finishes, illustrating the flexibility of electric heating across a wide range of flooring types. Designed as an interactive experience, the DEVI space allows visitors to engage directly with

the products, with QR codes positioned throughout the centre linking directly to detailed product information on the DEVI UK website at https://devi.com/uk. The modular nature of the Innovation Centre ensures it can be easily adapted and updated as DEVI continues to develop and introduce new products, keeping the space current and relevant for installers, specifiers, and consultants. The DEVI Innovation Centre is now open at the Building Centre in London, providing industry

professionals with a practical insight into how electric heating technologies can support efficient, flexible, and lower-carbon building design.

Unicrimp Q-Nect IP Weatherproof Junction Box

T •

he Q-Nect range of junction boxes and connectors from Unicrimp provides installers with secure and efficient connections for a range of residential, commercial, and industrial environments.

A key product in the range is the Q-Nect IP weatherproof junction box which is designed to make

installations quicker and more efficient. It can house four of the 3 Port Lever Connectors using the 360⁰ detachable cradle. The IP Box also utilises a curved lid which provides additional space for wires. The lid is locked using quarter turn fasteners, which allows for quick opening and closing.

Key features include: •

Enhanced protection - the IP66 rating and self-sealing membranes offer superior protection for electrical components from dust, dirt, and water.

10 membrane entry points - the junction box features ten membrane entry points. Protection against moisture and dust is enhanced with the self- sealing membranes which provide a faster and more secure cable entry whilst at the same time maintaining the IP66 rating.

• Up to eight M20 glands - installers have the option of using up to eight M20 cable glands with the junction box. The M20 threaded entries with membrane ensure that the IP rating is maintained without needing to use any tools or locknuts.

• •

Multiple fixing options - the IP Box gives you the option to fix directly to a wall using four screws into the pre-moulded holes in the base or utilise the detachable wall clip which requires just two screws.

Semi-transparent lids - the option of the semi-transparent lid takes the IP Box to the next level, allowing installers to see the inside connections without compromising the integrity of the enclosure. The boxes with semi-transparent lids are available in a black or anthracite grey finish.

Aesthetics – the anthracite grey and finish is designed to match the Click Scolmore Aquip66 weatherproof socket and switch enclosures, which are also available with the same semi-transparent lids. For further information visit www.unicrimp.com or download the Scolmore Group app.

eltre, 16 December 2025 – In residential or light commercial applications (small offices, retail, utilities) the requirements are often the same: ease of installation, high energy performance and significant savings on consumption.

This has led to the development of a Clivet solution that expands the EDGE PRO family with the new

EDGE PRO L, a monobloc air/water heat pump designed for centralised residential and light commercial applications. This solution provides heating, cooling and domestic hot water in a natural and continuous way, even in larger buildings, thanks to technology that combines performance and ease of use. At the heart of the new EDGE PRO L is the scroll compressor with EVI technology, designed to offer

efficiency and stability in all weather conditions: from the most intense cold to the scorching heat. It is this innovation that guarantees maximum performance, with a SCOP that can reach 4.95 at 35°C and 3.84 at 55°C. These figures translate into real comfort and savings for those who live in these environments every day. The new 25 and 30 kW sizes maintain the ALTODesign of the EDGE PRO family, which has already won

international awards such as the iF Design Award and the Red Dot Design Award 2025. Like all solutions in the range, EDGE PRO L is part of the complete Clivet Smart Living system and is

compatible with CONTROL4 NRG. System management is simple and immediate thanks to the colour graphic interface and integrated Wi-Fi connection, which allows all functions to be controlled via the Clivet EYE app. EDGE PRO L has been designed to adapt easily to different contexts. Its modularity allows up to six

units to be connected hydraulically in parallel, reaching a total power capacity up to 180 kW, while maintaining a small footprint. The choice of the natural refrigerant R-290, with a GWP close to zero, reflects Clivet's commitment to

sustainable solutions that are fully compliant with European F-Gas regulations. Versatility of application is one of the strengths of EDGE PRO L. The machine operates in a wide range

of outdoor temperatures, from -25°C to +43°C, and can produce hot water up to 85°C. This makes it suitable for both new buildings and renovations, where it represents a viable alternative to boilers and can also be used with traditional radiator systems. The unit guarantees nominal heat output down to –10°C, offering continuous comfort even in the harshest conditions. Federico Messina, Product Manager at Clivet, explains the vision behind this project: "EDGE PRO L

is a solution designed to accompany the energy transition. The use of natural refrigerant R-290 and the high levels of efficiency guaranteed by full-inverter technology eliminate direct emissions and reduce indirect emissions, while ensuring maximum comfort and great application flexibility. It is a concrete step towards the European decarbonisation targets." EDGE PRO L is the new series of R-290 heat pumps for centralised and light commercial systems. Designed in 25–30 kW sizes, it is easy to install and offers maximum flexibility. Up to 6 units can be connected in cascade, reaching a total power of up to 180 kW, while maintaining a small footprint and simple management. The scroll compressor with EVI technology guarantees consistent performance, even with outdoor temperatures as low as –10°C. EDGE PRO L can produce hot water up to 85°C, adapting to all needs, even systems with radiators. The EGDE PRO line has won the iF Design Award and Red Dot Design Award 2025.
