FORTEC EXPANDS INTO MARITIME SECTOR WITH SPECIALIST DISPLAY SOLUTIONS
ORTEC UK, a provider of advanced display, embedded, and power solutions, is pleased to announce its official expansion into the MARITIME market sector, strengthening the group’s portfolio with specialist monitor solutions from NOTTROT B.V.,
a fellow FORTEC Group company. This strategic move builds on FORTEC UK’s long-standing expertise in ruggedised display assemblies and aligns with its mission to support demanding industries with reliable, high-performance technology. Maritime operations require solutions that can withstand harsh conditions; salt, humidity, vibration, and fluctuating light levels. NOTTROTs DNV-certified monitors are engineered to meet these challenges with confidence.
The product range includes full-glass panel mount monitors, designed for bridge consoles, navigation systems, and control rooms. Key features include high-brightness for sunlight readability, optical bonding for reduced reflection, anti-glare glass, wide input voltage ranges with EMC filtering, and optional projected capacitive touch. Together, these features deliver clarity, durability, and long-term availability essential for maritime applications.
Leading the UK expansion is Mark Perry, senior sales engineer at FORTEC UK, who will guide customers through the new offerings. “NOTTROTs

NEW COVER LENS AND OCA BONDING FOR TFT DISPLAYS
nelco Hunter has introduced two new versions of a range of 4.3” TFT displays. The new model options include a cover lens and OCA bonding. The combination of OCA bonding with the new 1mm cover lens provides very high impact resistance – the impact rating is IK04 and the surface Hardness is 7H.
The JXT480272T017-ZBC06 features IPS, 20K MTBF, 500 nits. IC FT5446U and 1mm cover lens. The JXT480272T017-ZBR includes all of the aforementioned features and also comes with OCA bonding. The 4.3” JXT480272T017 family of TFT displays features a resolution of 480(RGB) × 272 dots with a full viewing angle, transmissive normally black screen and 500 cd/m² brightness. It has a 24-bit RGB interface and an operating temperature range of -20°C to +70°C. The rated lifetime is 20,000 hours (MTBF) at standard conditions.
