MIKRON THERMAL IMAGING CAMERA MCS640 C

ompact, short wavelength thermal imaging process camera for non-contact temperature measurement of metallic

Technologies, an Advanced Energy company, is a short wavelength infrared (SWIR) thermal imager with internal digital signal processing. This camera is designed to accurately

measure temperatures between 600 and 3000°C, with a high resolution of 640 x 460 px. suitable for applications such as measurements on metallic surfaces, graphite and ceramics, etc. The compact design of the MCS640 enables the integration of the camera into

compact production machines, while the solid and robust housing guarantees reliability even in harshest industrial environments. The MCS640 thermal imager can be used in many metal applications including:

preheating, annealing tempering, welding, forging, hardening, sintering, melting, soldering, brazing, and rolling.

I2C DIGITAL PRESSURE SENSORS FOR

WATER AND GAS NETWORK MONITORING The LD Series is the smallest fully functional OEM I2C digital transmitter for pressure and temperature measurement by KELLER. The LD Series is the market leading sensor for gas and water pressure monitoring. These sensors have an accomplished real-life total error band of $1.2mbar and resolution of 0.7mbar over -20°C… 70°C (100mbar sensor). This performance enables Equipment Manufacturers to measure pressure data more accurately improving the quality and reliability of information to minimise gas/water leakage, ultimately reducing costs for utility companies. All the electronic components are contained within the oil filled housing making the sensors easy for system integration. The I2C interface allows for multiple sensor monitoring and simple plug and play technology.

· Pressure ranges from 0.1… 1000 bar · Operating temperature range from -40… 110°C · Fully factory compensated · Low power consumption of 1.8… 3.6VDC

ANEMOMETER & AIR VELOCITY CALIBRATION SERVICES

T

he UKAS accredited wind tunnels within the Young Calibration Laboratory allow for high

accuracy ISO 17025:2017 accredited calibrations to be undertaken on all types of wind speed devices. The air velocity calibration department calibrates over 100 different makes and models of anemometers, pitot tubes and multiport probes. It is one of the few UK laboratories offering air velocity calibrations on yaw probes, omni-spherical probes, ultra-low velocity thermal probes, CTA’s, ultrasonic, vane, rotating cup anemometers and LIDAR. Having three bespoke wind tunnels of differing designs and sizes allows the laboratory to develop open, closed and free air blockage correction factors and the ability to undertake anemometer calibrations with minimal or zero blockage corrections. The latest UKAS accredited schedule covers air velocities from 0.05 to 80 m/s and uncertainty of measurement as low as 0.15% of reading + 0.0002 m/s.

SERIES A-IEF REMOTE DISPLAY FOR THE INSERTION ELECTROMAGNETIC FLOW TRANSMITTER

D

wyer Instruments, the preferred source for your complete range of practical

and affordable instrumentation, is announcing the release of the Series A-IEF Remote Display for the Insertion Electromagnetic Flow Transmitter (Series IEF). Dwyer’s high performance and versatile insertion flowmeter can be utilized to accurately measure fluid velocity in applications such as: HVAC water monitoring and control, mechanical rooms with a small footprint, boilers and chillers, condenser water, boiler feed water, hard-to- reach piping, and more. The award-winning Insertion Flow Transmitter offers flexibility without sacrificing accuracy. Each unit can be adjusted to fit into pipe sizes from 4 to 36 inches. With its integral temperature compensation, performance is unaffected by changes in temperature, density, viscosity, or concentration. In addition, a NIST traceable calibration certificate is supplied standard with each unit.

SOLAR-POWERED ROTORK IQTF ACTUATORS ON US GAS PRODUCTION WELLS

R

otork intelligent full-turn electric actuators have been supplied for

upstream shale gas production wells in the USA. The IQTF actuators will carry out

modulating duties on wellhead rotary non-rising choke valves at the east Texas section of the Haynesville / Bossier shale gas formation. Approximately 60 actuators have already been installed to control the flow and pressure of gas and condensate at the site. More than 30 have also been ordered to hold in the customer’s inventory. Rotork’s IQTF actuator provides fast and accurate valve control and can perform up

to 1,800 starts per hour. A DC power supply using a solar system and battery pack is being used to power the

IQTF actuators. This solution avoids the potential leakage that is common in hydraulic actuators. Texas also has plenty of sun to use as an energy source.
