“I believe that above all, desires and dreams are limitless. I apply this to music. I produce without constraining myself to any particular style or genre. My philosophy is that everyone should do what makes them happy”.

“In the past, I made a softer and more melodic type of music. When I started creating the sound of CARV, it was an effigy of what I had done before, just faster and harder. From that, the term ‘Criminal and Rough Version’ was develo- ped”.

“I founded the label because it facilitates many things - such as managing our own releases, merchandise, and marketing.
Additionally, it
provides an opportunity to support talented artists. The label’s philosophy mirrors my own. We are not focused
on any particular style;
rather, we are interested in artists who strive for self-expression and don’t simply follow the mainstream”.
As an artist, CARV’s vision extends far beyond the confines of the present. Masked Rules sets itself apart by releasing one track per month, allowing focused promotion and high-quality material.
“By releasing only one track per month, our focus remains dedicated to one artist or release for a minimum of four weeks,” CARV explains.
Leveraging his platform, he aims to elevate emerging artists and contribute to the electro- nic music community.
“Fortunately, I have people working with me behind the scenes, allowing me to solely focus on the creative aspect for the label. All admi- nistrative tasks are taken care of, ensuring both the artists and myself that everything operates at the highest professional level”.

IT’S ALL ABOUT THE MUSIC
For CARV, the journey to prominence has been marked by electrifying performances on stages around the world. However, one moment stands out above the rest: VERKNIPT in Bogotá, November 2023.
“The mere fact that it was my first intercon- tinental gig, or rather my first intercontinental journey, made it something special,” CARV reminisces.
“Stepping onto the stage and performing in front of 10,000 people showed me how far the CARV project has come and the intensity with which South Americans celebrate added the cherry on top”.
At the core of CARV’s sonic identity lies a relentless pursuit of authenticity and indivi- duality.
“I strive to blend various emotional states through my tracks, transitioning from emotio- nal breaks to euphoric peaks to evoke feelings of happiness. I believe I have a good instinct for finding elements that resonate with people across different spectrums”.
However, ultimately, the rule ‘trial and error’
applies. For this, I rely heavily on feedback from friends and fellow musicians whose opinion is valuable to me; as well as on-stage testing”.
