New website is now easier to use
Lancashire County Council has redesigned its website to make it easier for people to find out about the council and to access services. T he w eb s ite (www.
lancashire.gov.uk) incorpo rates various new features, including improvements to the navigation between pages and location services which can tailor information based on where you are. . There are also improved
web pages' for many services including adoption, fostering, winter and business.
The new layout adapts to
fit the device you’re using - including mobile phones and tablet computers. Council leader County
Coun. Jennifer Mein, said: “People want county council services that are easy to ac cess, which includes making them available online. The new design also makes our website less cluttered, so. it’s easier to find the services that you’re looking for. Many peo ple are used to buying things online and getting informa tion online as part of nor
mal life. It’s important that
we make our council servic es available for people in the sameway.”
