- SMOKERS are being asked to quit smoking in play areas, thanks to a new Ribble Valley Borough Council campaign featuring artwork by a Sab den Primary School pupil.
The scheme, backed by the Lancashire Care NHS Founda tion Trust, will see signs bear ing the message: “Please Stop Smoking in our Play Area!” being installed in public play areas throughout the Ribble Valley.

artwork by Toby Greenhalgh and fellow pupils from Sabden Primary School, will be sited at play areas throughout the . borough as part o f a voluntary smoking ban scheme which the council hopes people will adhere to. Coun. Robert Thompson, chairman o f Ribble Valley

. people don’t want children to start smoking in the first- place and children learn a lot through imitation. ■ •
