PIE and peas were on the lunch menu- as council employees enjoyed the special treat in a bid to raise money ; for a deserv ing cause. Staff from Ribble Val ley Borough Council joined borough Mayor Coun. Simon Hore, his wife, Grace and soldier Sgt Rick Clement as theytucked into the deli cious meat and potato pies and mushy peas to raise money for injured serv icemen and women. The event raised £1,000 and a good time was had by all.
