The credit card thief who preys on guests in Vaiiey

POLICE are hunting a credit card thief who stole thousands of pounds after targeting guests at Ribble Valley hotels. Sgt Gary Henninghan, of

the hotel reception claiming to be a member of staff from a bank and wishing to speak to the victim. When speak ing to the victim about some security questions, the victim realised it was 'a scam and immediately alerted hotel staff and the police. Police believe the thief
then struck again at the Stirk House Hotel, Gisbum Road, Gisburn, on Thursday night (May 12th), but this time unfortunately the victim re
vealed all her personal bank ing details to the thief. Sgt Henninghan said: “The

thief managed to withdraw £500 from a cash machine and £4,500 at a bank from her account. “It was a sophisticated
