SOME CHANGES FOR
Try to remember your final days at
school.... for many of us, happy memories. However, how many of us left unprepared for interviews, lacking confidence to talk about our strengths and weaknesses? A simple question like, "Tell me a little about yourself?" started the knees shaking.
Today's school and college leavers are properly prepaied, leeching guidance from tutors and careers officers, and each leaves with a hurgundv folder (National Record of Achievement) containing specific national pages supported by certificates, photogiaphs and examples of work which act as a permanent record of their most important achievements/memories. It is this
CUANC.lt. that oilers a
major breakthrough.
The National Record of Achievement is now firmly established as an important feature in the lives of pupils of secondary school age and ol college students. Because all school/college leavers will have their own personal NRA cmplnvcrs/intcrviewers and parents should be able to see a biller picture of the pupils covering both academic and
individual success. ^ ■ ^ W W H ^ i iE C W A C H l i^ M E im
• To ensure that achievements and personal experience are recoguisetl and recorded as accurately as possible for the pupil's own
• To encourage pupils by increasing their strengths and helping them to make best use of the opportunities open to them at school and in
the wider community.
• To enable schools to develop courses and activities aimed at the development of skills in individual pupils.
• To provide a document recognised by employers and colleges ol further education, which rellects the positive achievements ol the voting person and which will provide the basis for ongoing personal and professional development throughout lurther and higher education and employment.
