Making a drama of their message

TIIK youngest members of Clithcmc Parish ( ‘lun ch arc taking to drama to get their religious message across. Regular attendees arc now looking forward to tlu* sketches, which arc w ritton and organised by the youngsters themselves and also feature modern music. The group, seen here

last at a youth service which replaced evensong, first came together in November to collect for Children in Need. They have since performed their drama at five family parade services and the Christmas morning service, provided entertainment lor the elderly parishioners’ parly with dance routines, singing and drama, flute and piano solos. The whole group has also performed “The Time Warp" from the Rocky Horror Show. Now the church’s Youth Organiser, 17

year-old Juliette Shepherd hopes to start a youth group for the youngsters, combining social and religious activities. She also hopes to form a council

or young people to encourage involvement in church matters, and , through which their thoughts and views can he expressed.
