Lancashire County Council (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order, 1988


NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Lancashire County Council have made an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit any motor vehicle from proceeding over that length of Shaw Bridge Street, at Clitheroe in the Borough of Ribble Valley from its junction with Peel Street to the Bridge Inn, a distance of approximately 50 metres. The temporary closure is necessary to allow for the construction of the Clitheroe Sewer Renewal Scheme, Phase 11. The alternative route for traffic affected by the closure is as follows:-


Via Hayhurst Street and Highfield Road and vice versa. Access to properties will be maintained at all times throughout the closure.


The Order became operative on Monday, February 1st, and will remain in force until Tuesday, March 29th, 1988 inclusive.
