NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN in accordance with Section 02 and Schedule 10 of the High­ ways Act 1980 that it is the intention of the Lancashire County Council, as Highway Authority, to determine whether it is expedient to pro­ vide a cattle grid bypass on land adjacent to the C477 Trough of Bowland Road at a point on the Lancaster Ribble Valley district boundary ap­ proximately 5.1 kilometers north of the junction of the C477 with the road to Dunsop Bridge, part of which said land does not form part of the highway and does not belong to the County Council as Highway Authority. The purpose of the proposed by-pass is to make effective the cattle grid which it is proposed to construct in the highway at the location previ­ ously described. A copy of this Notice and a plan show­ ing the position of the prop­ osed cattle grid and by-pass is deposited for inspection at my offices and at the Town Hall. Lancaster, and can be inspected at all reasonable hours without payment.
