England, Paul Anthony Capewell (18), of Eta Cot tage, Kettlewell, formerly of Do r s e t Drive, Clitheroe, and Mark O’Hagan (17), of S h i r e b u rn Avenue , Clitheroe, were each given a 12-month condi tional discharge for com municating false informa tion and each had to pay £30 costs. Funeral of former Grindleton vicar
GRINDLETON villagers attended the funeral at St Ambrose Church, on Saturday, of their former vicar, the Rev. E. M. Sidebottom, who died suddenly after a fall at his home in Gargrave. Mr Sid eb o t tom, a
native of Tyneside, was a graduate of Durham Uni versity and trained for the ministry at Queen’s Theological College, Bir mingham. He was ordain ed Deacon in Durham in 1951
and served in parishes at Greenside, Hartlepool and Hart with Elwick, before
by her stepfather, Mr P. Blair, wore a Victorian- style gown of French lace over taffeta with a water fall train. She had a three-quarter length veil and carried a bouquet of pink roses and white car nations. Bridesmaids were Miss

Park THE man responsible for the upkeep of the gardens at Gisburne Park for more than a quarter of a cen tury, Mr Francis Cornish has died, aged 53. Mr Cornish moved to

the gardener until redun dancy six years ago led him to a change of occupa tion when he became a boilerman at Rolls Royce, Bamoldswick and moved to live in the town. He had been ill for the
