(p ) The bad news is that we expect holiday prices ^
to go up next year.
^ The good news is that we have been able to put on W ortrahnlirim this m r at the existing leworices.
BECAUSE OF COST OF LIVING INCREASES AND CURRENCY MOVEMENTS OUR HOTEL
CONTRACTORS ARE NOW REPORTING THAT THEY EXPECT TO SEE THE PRICES OF NEXT YEAR’S HOLIDAYS INCREASE BY APPROXIMATELY 10%. THIS WOULD MEAN THAT THE AVERAGE INCREASES WOULD BE IN THE REGION OF:
1984/85 WINTER CONTINENTAL HOLIDAYS . plus £12 perperson 1985 SUMMER BRITISH HOLIDAYS
plus £10 per person 1985 SUMMER CONTINENTAL HOLIDAYS plus £20 to £30 per person THIS MAKES 1984 PRICES LOOK A VERY GOOD DEAL, BUT MANY HOLIDAYS ARE
ALREADY FULLY BOOKED. SO WE HAVE PUT ON EXTRA HOLIDAYS THIS SPRING, SUMMER AND AUTUMN AT THIS YEAR’S LOW PRICES.
YOU NOW STILL HAVE A CHANCE TO PICK UP A 1984 HOLIDAY — WHICH LOOK LIKE BEING THE BEST VALUE FOR MONEY THIS DECADE.

waymarkers THE Ribble Vailey Parish Councils’ Liaison Commit-
markers, so that more walkers can enjoy the de lights of the Ribble Valley countryside, was urged by Coun. Charles Warkman at a committee meeting. He also called for the pro-: cedures for granting them to be streamlined to,pre vent delay. At Coun. Warkman’s
instigation, the Ribble Valley Council’s Recrea tion and Leisure Commit tee is asking the Associa tion of District Councils to seek a change in the law. The county council has a statutory obligation _ to mark paths, but the time limit is unrestricted. The Liaison Committee
agreed to support the re quest and also to ask the Lancashire Association of Parish and Town Councils to try and do something about the matter.
