birthday. For there was no wash­


ing up for them to do after the proceedings — the husbands of officers and members gave them a well-deservea rest by doing all the clearing up. The village hall was de­


corated with flowers and greenery and the tables laden with food for the ruby anniversary. ' Several founder mem­


bers, and officers came from various parts of the country,to join in the spe­ cial celebrations. They Were welcomed., by presi­ dent Mrs Barbara Steen.
