by nuclear installations such as Springfields at Preston, Heysham and Barrow, and following public concern over con tamination from Wind- scale earlier this year, it is a relief to know that our local council is aware of the problem and is pre pared to do something about it. As the mother of two
young children, T am par ticularly 'concerned about the levels of radiation and its effects on children’s health. I am sure that many other parents will give the council their whole-hearted support in this matter.
