Davidson was due to retire this week (May 4th) after 12 years. Mr David son, who was due to take early retirement on Tues day, (3rd), was the only Skipton-based postman to deliver the mail by Land- Rover. In May, 1981, he had to be towed out of snowdrifts by a tractor.
