made it slightly bigger than the old model but far roomier inside and even more comfortable. The wider track and longer wheelbase, together with improved suspension also makes handling better.


We increased the efficiency of the engine and subtly


restyled the body for a cleaner aerodynamic shape and improved economy. We made the car safer by using stronger high tensile


steel in the bodyshell and adopting higher performance brakes, integrated front and rear bumpers, and a larger, wrap-around rear window for a wider field of vision.


We reduced the likelihood of corrosion by putting every


new Accord through a range of the most thorough and effective rustproofing processes available.


Of course, this is by no means a full list of the


improvements we’ve made in the new Accord. There are literally hundreds of modifications.
