tiny tots annual disco and fancy dress competition, which was attended by more than 100 fun-seeking youngsters. After enjoying tradi
tional party fun, the youngsters in fancy dress lined up before the judges who picked Claire Tatter- sail, Jennifer Hanley and Martin Aspimvall as the winners. A competition to find
“Miss Trinity 1983” was w'on by Diane Walmsley (9), o f Manor Road, Clitheroe. Runners-up were Sarah Bradley (10), o f T urner S t r e e t , Clitheroe, and Toni Bing ham (7), of Union Street, Low Moor. The afternoon’s enter
tainment was arranged by Pino Pozzi, June Wilson and other senior youth leaders.

petitors taking part in the Ribble Valley swimming, cycling and running tria
thlon — the first ever to be held in the United Kingdom. Entries have come from
all over Lancashire with a strong contingent from
the Clitheroe area. Four women will be
'taking on their male coun terparts and 10 of the en trants are aged 40 .and over. Several well-known
Ribble Valley sporting names figure in the line up.

foot, which is headed by former Olympic gold medal runner Chris Brasher. Any profits — mainly
from sponsorship — will go towards the Mayor’s charity appeal, the Christ ie Cancer and Holt Radium Ins t itute Women’s Trust.
