PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER, 1982


On the 2nd August, 1982 the Ribble Valley Borough Council confirmed the above-named Order.


The effect of the Order as confirmed is to divert that portion of Footpath No. 4 Easington from a line commencing at point A on the plan attached to the Order which is located at the north western portion of the farm buildings at Halsteads Farm running in a north easterly direction for a distance of approxi­ mately 140 yards to point B, to a line commencing at point A running through Halsteads Farmyard tor a distance of approxi­ mately 140 yards to rejoin footpath No. 4 at point B.


A copy of the confirmed Order and the map contained in it has been deposited and may be inspected free of charge at the Chief Executive’s Office, Council Offices, Church Walk, Clitheroe, between normal office hours.


The Order becomes operative from the date on which it is certified by the Ribble Valley Borough Council that the alterna­ tive highway has been created to the reasonable satisfaction of the Council, but it any persons aggrieved by the Order desires to question the validity thereof or of any provisions contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the Town and Country Planning Act 1971 or on the ground that any requirement of that Act or any regulations made thereun­ der has not been complied with in relation to the confirmation of the Order, he may under section 244 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1971 within six weeks from the date of publication of this Notice make application for the purpose to the High Court.
