The above named Order (hereinafter referred to as

"the Order") made on the 21st June, 1982, is about to be submitted to the Secretary gf State for the Environment, tor confirmation or to be con­ firmed by the Ribble Valley Borough Council as an unop­ posed Order. The effect of the Order if confirmed without modifica­ tion will be to divert that por­ tion of Footpath No. 4 Easington from a line com­ mencing at point A on the plan attached to the Order which is located at the north western portion of the farm buildings at Halsteads Farm running in a north easterly direction for a distance of ap­ proximately 14 yards to point B, to a line commencing at point A running through Hal­ steads Farm yard for a dis­ tance of approximately 14 yards to rejoin footpath No. 4 of point B. A copy of the Order and the map contained in it has been deposited and may be in­ spected free of charge at the Chief Executive's Office, Council Offices, Church Walk, Clitheroe, between normal


office hours. Any representation or objec­ tion with respect to the Order may be sent in writing to The Chief Executive Officer, Ribble Valley Borough Coun­ cil, Council Offices, Church Walk, Clitheroe, BB7 -2RA, within 28 days of the date of publication of this Notice and should state the grounds on which it is made. If no representation or objec­ tions are duly made or if any so made are withdrawn the Ribble Valley Borough Coun­ cil may instead of submitting the Order to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation themselves con­ firm the Order as an unop­ posed Order.
