DISABLED people, par­ ticularly those in wheel­ chairs, will be specially welcome at a charity fair being held in Waddington on Saturday. For its aim is to raise


money to buy equipment for the local Red Cross Club for the Disabled. The fair, being organ­


ised by Waddington WI, is in St Helen’s Sunday School, to make access easier for those in wheel­ chairs. It will be opened at 2-15 p.m. by the chair­ man of the Lancashire Federation of WIs, Mrs Florence Smithies. Attractions include lace­


making and spinning de­ monstrations, home-made teas, a display of WI crafts and all manner of goods on sale, from cakes, plants and produce to jewellery, books and greetings cards.
