NOW THE SMALL SCHOOLS HAVE OWN SWIM GALA

SABDEN schools took the honours at the first Ribble Valley small schools’ swimming gala at Ribblesdale Pool. The two village schools

joined forces and finished ahead of a field which in cluded competitors from smaller primary schools throughout the Ribble Valley. The gala has been intro duced this year to give

pupils at the smaller schools a chance to com pete in a swimming gala similar to that held for the larger primary schools in the area. Pendleton and Bashall

Eaves schools — both due to close later this month — also joined forces to boost their numbers and 13 other schools from all over the Valley were rep resented.
