HIGHWAYS ACT 1959 PART IX CODE OF 1892
WHEREAS:
(i) the Ribble Valley Borough Council (as Agents for tne Lancashire County Coun cil, the Street Works Authority) have resolved to execute certain private street works in the street known as Buccleuch Avenue, Clitheroe, within the said Borough under and in pursuance of the Code of 1892 contained in Part IX of the Highways Act, 1959, and
TAKE NOTICE THAT the said Council on the 12th day of February 1980 passed a Resolution approving of such specifications, plans, sections, ostimates and provisional apportionments of estimated expenses in the following terms: “ RESOLVED: that BUC C L E U C H A V E N U E , CLITHEROE, within the Coun cil's area not being at present sewered, levelled, paved, metalled, flagged, channelled, made good to the satisfaction ot the Council, be sewered, levelled, paved, metalled, flag ged, channelled, and made good under and in accordance with the provisions of the Code of 1892 in the Highways Act, 1959; and that the expenses incurred in executing such works be apportioned between the premises fronting or adjoining the said several streets according to the respective frontages of each premises; and appropriate cre dits be given in the case of Nos. 2, 4, 6, 8 Buccleuch Avenue, Clitheroe, by virtue of an undertaking by tne Lanca shire County Council; and, further that the specification of the works proposed to be done in sewering, levelling, paving, metalling, flagging, channel ling, making good and also the plans, sections, estimates and provisional apportionments relating to such works, now submitted by the Borough Engineer, be, and the same are hereby approved. And, further, that the Chief Executive be, and he is hereby, instructed to publish this resolution and to serve copies thereof in the manner and upon the persons directed by the Statute. THAT a copy of the said resol ution of approval and the approved sp ecifications, plans, sections, estimates and provisional apportionments of

MEASURED WATER SUPPLY In respect of consumption recorded by meter readings taken between June 1st, 1980 and May 31st, 1981, water supplied by meter will be charged by a two-part tariff comprising: (a) a standing charge related to size of meter, together with (b) a charge of 75.9 pence per 1000 gallons (16.7 pence per cubic metre)
