secondary modern ability. The effect of the proposals of the Authority will-be to close this school from 31st'August, 1980.


2. Accommodation available at Whiteacre School will be used to provide a boarding hostel for up to 120 boys and girls aged 11-18 and irrespective of ability with effect from 1st September,. 1980. These pupils will attend Rishton Norden County High School whose Governing Body will be responsible for the Whiteacre boarding hostel. Rishton Norden is an .11-16 comprehensive school and education after the age of 16 will be available for Whiteacre pupils at schools and colleges in Clitheroe, Blackburn and Hyndburn.
