in accordance with the require­ ments of Section 87 and the Tenth Schedule of the Highways Act. 1959, that it is the intention of the Lancashire County Coun­ cil, as Highway Authority, to determine whether it is expe­ dient to provide two ^-passes on land adjacent to taslngton Lane at Gaughey House Farm, Newton, at the points more particularly described in the Schedule hereto, which said land does not form part of the highway and does not belong to the County Council as Highway Authority. The purpose of the


proposed by-passes is to make effective the cattle grids which it is proposed to constmet in the highway at the points described in the Schedule hereto.
