SOMEONE with an eye for design is being sought by Clitheroe and District Amateur Swimming Club. recent committee
Breakdown driver summoned
CALLED to attend to a breakdown on the Clitheroe northerly by-pass, a Clith eroe self-employed motor mechanic was summoned for parking near double white lines. However, after hearing his
explanation, CHtheroe magi strates granted William Trevor Robinson, of Talbot Close, an absolute discharge but they endorsed his
licence. Robinson, who pointed out
that he had been summoned in the wrong name of James W. Robinson, said he was using his own car because his recovery vehicle was off the road. He parked on the hard
meeting, it was decided that members should have a cloth badge bearing the club’s name. And now the committee is annealing to local people with artistic talent to have a go at designing a badge for them.
