One of Europe's foremost tuftcil carpet manufacturers, is expanding its produc. lion facilities and is constructing a new factory at Blackburn, Lancashire, pro duction being planned to commence in late Spring. The factory will be operating on three rotating shifts and the following principle processes wHl he carried ou t - tufting, printing, finishing and warehousing, together with related ancillary processes.
It is intended to commence recruiting persons now who have polcntial for filling the following shift supervisory positions when the plant becomes operational:
SHIFT PRODUCTION SUPERINTENDENTS
who will be responsible on a shift basis to the Production Manager for all Pro duction Departments. These are extre mely responsible positions involving control of a wide range of activities and proven successful managerial ex
perience is essential, ideally in the tufted carpet or other textile Industry.
SHIFT DEPARTMENTAL SUPERVISORS
who will be responsible to the Shift Production Superintendents for the efficient operation of Production .De partments on a shift basis. Previous supervisory experience in tufted carpet or textiles is a requirement for these positions.
SHIFT FOREMEN and CHARCEHANDS
who will be responsible to the Shift Departmental Supervisors for the con trol of Departmental shifts or sections. Experience in a similar position will be of great advantage, but the ability to successfully handle labour is of prime importance.
