DRUGS: Less talk but still a problem
It’s surprising how topics
of conversation change. About 18 months ago, drug-taking became a household word. Nowa d a y s , drug-taking
seems a less popular topic, but should anyone forget, the problem is still with us. .Cannabis resin, a so-called
soft drug, has caught the at tention of the public. During the past year, several ‘pop’ stars have been charged with possessing cannabis.
Mrs. Kay Hudson, wife of
the Vicar of Clitheroe, the Rev. Cecil Hudson, works in the psychiatric department of Burnley General Hospital.
She says that these famous
people have a great deal of influence on young people,
particularly ■ adolescents. In the course of her work.
