Conservatives’ dinner at Griridleton

TWENTY-FIVE members of the newly-formed branch of the Young Conservatives at Padi ham attended the first annual dinner at the Duke of York Hotel, Grindleton, on Monday. The branch is the first to be

re-formed in the “Action ’67” recruitment campaign, Mr. W„ A. Butler, Divisional

Agent said:. “It. Is more prae tical, in such a widespread Div ision as Clltheroe, to have bran ches centred on the main areas

of population. These include Padiham, Great Harwood, Long- ridge and Clltheroe. Already Padiham, has a strong Branch and Clitheroe is be ing strengthened. A new branch is being formed in Longridge and a nucleus of members will be meeting shortly in Great Har wood.”

Mr. Philip Lockwood, of Hap-

ton is Divisional Young Con servative Chairman.

“When the trial ended yester day, I had no chance to say anything to you. But I am grateful for your coming today.”
