Clitheroc, has invented an egg dry-cleaning machine. He had the machine on view at


Clithcroc Show on Saturday, when it attracted a great deal

patented an articulated drilling arm. a toy potato rifle, a petrol injection system and a car heater.

Looking to the east, the broad mass of Pcndlc dominated the


scene, a completely different picture lo the one so well known to Clithcroc folks. The sun


came out. and. shining on the countryside across the Calder, brought ou t the greens and rus­ sets of fields, hills, and trees. Leaving the hill, the party


made for the Nab. In the past, there must have


been a maze of roads and foot­ paths on the hill. Grassgrown old roads to derelict farms criss­ crossed the hill with the present


roads. The descent was made by the


footpath to Calder Bridge.
