Co-operative Society was held ou Saturday last, when about 700 persons assembled for tea wliicli was serveij iu the •Sunday School. Moor Ltuie. Cunliffe, Mary Fielden, and .Selina Pollard (sopranos); .Misses -M- Yoscall and Chadwick (contraltos); Messrs .M. Penrose. W. H. Rice, and Tom Hurley (tenors); Messrs. J. R. Allison and R. Dickinson (basses); Mr. Donald Cameron (humorist); and Miss Cltirlssa Nutter, L.L.C.M., was the accompanist.

Miss Pollard and .Mr. Hurley sang the duet, “ I’d rather not,” for which’ they received a well-merited encore, the item being one of the best of the even­ ing and ihev responded to the call. Tlie tenor voices expressed tliemselvi-s in the songs, “The Maid of Malaliar.” Mr. Matt. Penrose; and “ Like .Stars Aliove,” Mr. W. H. Rice.
