Team Trident Names Dan Gaspard as Vice President of Operations

Team Trident, a leader in recruiting and staffing highly skilled professionals to the subsea construction industry, has named Dan Gaspard Vice President of Operations.

Based in Team Trident’s Houston office, Gaspard will be responsible for day-to-day operations, growth strategy, business development and account management for the company. With more than 24 years’ experience in the subsea industry, Gaspard has held roles in operations, sales, business development and finance. He previously served as President and CEO of TTL Subsea Inc. and President-North and South America of Proserv.

Rod Long, President, Team Trident, said, “From his first day, Dan has helped every member of our team grow. We are fortunate to have him on our team and know Team Trident will flourish with him in this key role.”

Long added, “It is rare to find someone who not only meets but exceeds all criteria for a senior position. As a veteran, skilled tradesman with extensive offshore oil and gas technical experience, senior leadership roles, and most importantly, a man of faith, Dan understands and navigates relationships at every level of our organization.”

Gaspard holds a degree in business administration from Capella University in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He is also an active member of the Society for Underwater Technology.

The North Sea Transition Authority has granted development and production consent for the Rosebank field, north-west of Shetland.

The consent has been given by the oil and gas regulator to owners Equinor and Ithaca Energy, following the acceptance of the Environmental Statement.

An NSTA spokesperson said: “We have approved the Rosebank Field Development Plan which allows the owners to proceed with their project.

“The FDP is awarded in accordance with our published guidance and taking net zero considerations into account throughout the project’s lifecycle.”

AIS Awarded Another Custom Coating Project Offshore Brazil

AIS is delighted to announce that we have been awarded a significant offshore contract as part of a SURF development for a pre-salt field in the Santos Basin.

The provision is for ContraTherm® C25 insulation of pipeline end terminations (PLETs), inline anchors (ILAs) and jumpers. Significantly, the scope is the first custom coating project to be managed and run by a full Brazilian crew.

C25 is our flexible subsea solution. It was selected due to its ability to provide flow assurance to complex subsea equipment, even in high-pressure and high-temperature environments. Water depths for this field are around 2,000 metres, making C25 an ideal solution.

Business Development Manager Guilherme Martins had this to say: “This SURF custom coating contract is the third of this kind in Brazil and the second for the same customer. Whilst solidifying the reputation of our high quality, high performance and practical solution, this scope makes C25 even more desirable when it comes to winning similar contracts in a booming market.”
